Founded as Matsuda Type Pump Limited Partnership Company; starts fabrication of patented Matsuda-type pumps.
1934
Incorporated as Teikoku Machinery Works, Ltd.
1936
Relocates to newly built factory in Nishiyodogawa Ward in Osaka (where our head office is now).
1944
Factory requisitioned by Japanese Navy Ministry and Munitions Ministry.
1965
Technology licensing agreement concluded with Hamworthy Engineering Ltd. (UK) for manufacture of Dolphin centrifugal pumps.
1966
Opens Tokyo Office.
1967
Technology licensing agreement concluded with Hamworthy Engineering Ltd. (UK) for manufacture of air compressors.
1969
Delivers primary pumps to Kansai Electric Power’s Mihama Nuclear Power Station.
1970
Delivers LPG cargo pumps.
1977
Delivers pumps for binary cycle geothermal power generation to Kyushu Electric Power’s Otake Power Plant.
1979
Delivers large-capacity seawater pumps to desalination plants in Saudi Arabia.
1980
Delivers high-efficiency reversible pumps for use in energy-efficient ships.
1983
Develops cross-flow turbine for low-head micro hydro power generation system.
1986
Develops low-noise, low-vibration pumps.
1990
Delivers molten sulfur pumps.
1992
Constructs Matsusaka Factory and starts operations.
Delivers water turbine heat pump system to Haga-cho Cycling Center in Hyogo Prefecture.
1993
Develops ocean power generation system for yachts with assistance from Ship & Ocean Foundation.
1996
Transfers all factory operations to Matsusaka Factory.

Obtains LRQA ISO 9001 certification.

Delivers anti-heeling pumps and other pumps to Shirase Antarctic research vessel.

Develops high-suction self-priming MPK pump and vertical self-priming PV pump.

Launches operation of solar power system at Matsusaka Factory.

Certified by ABS classification society.
2019
Celebrates 110th anniversary of company founding.
2021
Undergoes SDGs/ESG assessment by Hyakugo Bank and obtains highest rating of "A."
2024
Obtains LRQA ISO 14001 certification.
